MBPH Community Collaborative brings together a diverse group of people from the Northern Mallee community.
The Community Collaborative’s key objective is to provide a consumer perspective to assist MBPH in meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Members of the Community Collaborative play a lead role in advocating for, evaluation and continuous improvement of consumer engagement practice at MBPH.
Community Collaborative activities include developing and implementing a community engagement plan, supporting the volunteer program and providing advice and advocacy for fundraising for MBPH.
It provides advice and assists the MBPH Board on priority areas for consumers and on issues requiring community input, including feedback from a consumer perspective on MBPH patient communication or information.
The MBPH is committed to ensuring its committees broadly reflect the diversity of the communities served by Mildura Base Hospital. We welcome applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, youth and the ageing, people with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people from the LGBTI community and people with chronic or acute health conditions.
