Casual Workforce

We pride ourself on offering flexible working arrangements within the clinical and non–clinical workforce to service high demand units within the hospital.

The casual workforce provides opportunities for Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Registered Midwifes, Health Service Assistants and Administration Assistants to enjoy the flexibility of casual work across a variety of units and departments.

Recruitment for other casual employment opportunities specific to units within MBPH occurs periodically throughout the year based on organisational needs.

To join our Talent Community you must have:

  • Current qualifications relevant to your position
  • Nursing and Midwifery Pool – Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Heath Care Worker Pool – Health Services Assistant Certificate III or Academic Transcript for the completion of first year Bachelor of Nursing
  • Recent clinical experience (within the past three years) in your area of preferred work

Recruitment to the clinical workforce occurs periodically throughout the year based on organisational needs.

Work Experience

Our Work Experience Program provides high school students with the opportunity to explore the many careers that support healthcare behind the scenes.

Participants can gain insight into departments such as Administration, Health Information, Environmental Services, Security, and more—learning how each area contributes to the smooth and compassionate delivery of care across our hospital.
