If you need to see a doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional in the weeks prior to your proposed surgery, we will arrange an appointment with the Pre-Admission Clinic. This appointment provides an opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions you have about your surgery, and supports a smooth and safe stay in hospital.
The Clinic runs on a weekly basis and appointments scheduled may take between one and three hours depending on the complexity of the surgery. Your family members are welcome to attend.
Prior to your appointment there may be a need for you to undertake some clinical tests. If necessary, these will be arranged by your treating team, with results discussed during the appointment.
The Clinic is situated near the main entrance to Mildura Base Public Hospital. Please report to the main reception on your arrival.
