Welcome and about us

The Allied Health Clinical Educators’ Network (AHCEN) brings together 60 plus leaders in Allied Health clinical education in Victoria from over 30 metropolitan, regional and rural health services.

We are a professionally diverse group from both the AH Therapy & Science disciplines, united through our contribution to the strategic direction of clinical education and training in Victoria and in driving innovation and excellence in education practice.

AHCEN provides a forum for discussion of common issues, sharing of knowledge, resources and experiences to optimise Allied Health clinical education for staff and students. Portfolio workgroups are formed for shared organisational priorities to work collaboratively to create shared resources and outcomes.

The Network provides a united contribution to the strategic direction of clinical education and training initiatives in Victoria through liaison with the Department of Health, Allied Health Workforce team, and other stakeholders, including but not limited to the Victorian Health Education Leaders network (VHELN), the Allied Health Strategic Leadership Group and the Allied Health Advisory Council.
