Response to COVID-19 Outbreak
In response to the risk posed to all staff, patients and visitors, the following actions are required effective immediately:
Patients
- Encouraged to be in surgical masks where appropriate and practical.
- Surgical masks are required in MBPH outpatient clinics.
Visitors/Support Persons/Carers (effective 12noon 20/11/2023)
- Please do not visit if you are unwell.
- All visitors must enter through the main entrance. Other entrances are restricted to staff entry only.
- Surgical masks are required to be worn upon entry.
- Visitors attending rooms in high-risk clinical areas may be required to wear an N-95 mask and additional PPE, so please follow instructions from Nursing staff regarding any specific PPE requirements.

On average, the Emergency Department at Mildura Base Public Hospital treats more than 200 people on any weekday and even more people on weekends and public holidays.

For anyone seeking Mental Health support and having no physical health issues,
please contact Mental Health triage on 03 50223500 or
Toll-free on 1300 366 375 and speak with a Mental Health clinician before presenting to the Emergency Department.
This will help provide you with the advice and support you need and may avoid the waiting time in the Emergency Department.
